Penland Flights,
a comman site during the middle ages, the Red Kite was once a common sight. Reduced over the years, to a handful of birds hanging on in the remote parts of central Wales, it became a rare sight indeed. However, thanks to the efforts of organisations such as the R.S.P.B ther Welsh Kite Trust, and the many Kite feeding stations springing up all over Wales, the Red Kite is again becoming a familiar sight.

Penlan House has been the home of Susanna and Michael Binsted for five years, and is one such station. Set among the glorious Welsh contryside, Penlan is a private small holding where by prior arrangement it is possible once again to experience this spectacle, and see the sky filled with Red Kites.
This film aims to convey the thrill of these magnificent birds of prey.
