July 22, 2002   Keeping you on track!!!
Welcome to the Wildlifeuk newsletter
So what has happened this week? Well not much. Jim is getting ready to move house, so good luck Jim. As for myself, I have spent most of my time at the edit desk, inputting the footage for a video currently under production, about “Badger Watching” with tips on photographing and filming, as well as just watching these enchanting beasts. Should be out Nov/Dec time if all goes well. Still I did manage to get out last week for a little bit to film a fox family. As luck would have it in heavy rain, Still the light was nice and Steve’s big brolly nicer still!! Moreover, despite the weather Steve and I managed to get some nice material.

The nightjar is probably my favourite bird. I have taken pictures at the nest and on branches but my ultimate goal was a hoving nightjar. After two summers, 144 shots, and much planning, watching, learning, and with only 2 - 4 shots a night I have finally achieved my aim.
